Dr. Sanguedolce is a top-notch, one of a kind physician. I hope he doesn’t mind if I give away a little bit of his magic here— he enters the room with out a laptop (!) and he looks at YOU, the patient. This alone sets him apart from other doctors. He’s immediately more engaged and present. And he listens and asks good, thoughtful follow up questions. His communication is clear and kind. He’s never once been condescending or man-splained anything to me. He trusts me and trusts that I’m the expert on my health. He’s smart, has solutions, and knows where to find the answers- as well as other experts, should you need them.
TLDR— highly recommend.

Why is there a membership fee?
Dolce MD is structured to allow Dr. Sanguedolce to do what he loves and does best; deliver high-quality, personalized care and attention to his patients. To accomplish this most effectively, Dr Sanguedolce and his team need to dedicate more time to each patient. The significantly reduced patient panel enables them to provide higher-touch service to their patients. To support this model, our patients pay a membership fee for non-medical services and is not covered by insurance.
Can I still use my insurance?
Dolce MD accepts PPO, Medicare and most EPO insurance plans. We will bill your insurance for office visits and procedures, just as a traditional health care provider. Your insurance benefits and co-pays, deductibles and non-reimbursable fees still apply as specified by your PPO insurance plan. Please contact us to confirm if we are contracted with your specific Insurance provider.
Do you accept HMO?
At Dolce MD, we strive to make our services accessible. We are not currently enrolled with HMO plans. You can check with our friendly staff to see if your specific plan is included.
Additionally, we’re happy to accept cash payment for visits and any in-office labs conducted during your appointment.
Open enrollment periods for insurance plans typically happen once a year. If your current HMO doesn’t cover our services, you might want to explore switching to a plan with more comprehensive coverage for wellness and preventative care during the next enrollment window.
